Aikido - The journey begins!
The Tenshin Dojo is the latest addition to the Alliance Budo Association and offers a friendly and relaxing atmosphere in which to learn a variety of self defence techniques.
We opened our doors in April 2006 and offer classes on a Wednesday evening at The George Washington Primary School, Donwell, Washington.
All are welcome! We cater for a range of abilities and ages. Our junior class begins at the age of 7 and feeds into the adult class at the age of 14 years old.
Tenshin Aikido Dojo practices in the traditional side of Aikido as well as incorporating a self defence suitable for todays society.

Our instructors have a mixed and varied background in martial arts, you can find out more by visiting our Meet Your Instructors page.
The Tenshin Aikido Dojo is a sister club to the Hagakure Aikido Dojo based at Houghton-Le-Spring Sports complex. Both clubs are part of the Alliance Budo Association which was formed to develop and spread the ideas and teachings of O Sensei through a committee of like minded martial artists interested in training rather than politics!
The association and clubs are members of the CMAA which is an independent martial arts association that caters for the needs of all martial arts and offers insurance, membership, training and support to all instructors.
All clubs within the Alliance Budo Association offer an open door approach to training and welcome those of any age, any style and any ability through its doors.
Tenshin instructors have all the coaching requirements needed including PI, CRB checks and up to date coaching qualifications.
