Due to the sucess of our junior club in Houghton, we have branched out to Washington! Our class runs on a Wednesday evening at the George Washington Primary School from 6-7pm.
Sensei Jeff and Sensei Clare deliver fun packed, varied aikido lessons. These included learning how to roll correctly, fun warm-ups, junior techniques and weapons work. Of course there is always room for fun aikido tiggy, dodging the bopper and crash mat throws!!!
The junior syllabus has been specially designed for children, with techniques adapted towards children's growing joints. There is also a clear emphasis on dojo etiquette and respect for each other. The juniors grade under a tag system which enables the students to reach acheivable goals each time they grade.
The junior students have an opportunity to grade every three months, where they will be asked to show a number of techniques in an informal situation. On completion of the grading they will receive a certificate and usually an extra sweet reward!!!!

Grading fees are priced at £6.50 or £10 per family which is an association set fee.
