Christmas, not too early.
Get training! The next adult gradings will be held on the Hagakure christmas course on the 23rd December. Not just that but we have booked the Japanese restaurant on the evening to celebrate and generally drink lots of SAKE! All welcome.
Drumming Mad!
The Japanese Taiko Drummers are visiting the Gala theatre in Durham on Friday 6th October (£12.50 per person). They come highly recommended and we are planning a night out to see them. If that takes your fancy, let Sensei Clare know ASAP!
Samurai Exhibition
29th October we are planning to hire a bus (maybe even 2!) to invade Leeds Royal Armouries for the day. Why? To visit their huge collection of weapons and especially check out their Samurai display that weekend. All students and families are welcome to attend, just let Sensei Clare know to book your place. Times and prices to follow.
Visit from friends.
We have the honour of a visit from a number of Birmingham Alliance students on the 19th August. They will be training with us at the Hagakure Dojo (12.30-3.30pm £5 cost) and then on the evening we will be visiting Che Vita in Durham for an Italian meal. Anyone wishing to attend should contact Sensei Clare Gray ASAP
First Junior Gradings!
Our technical director Sensei Paul Gray is taking time out of his busy schedule to come and visit our club, and with him comes the opportunity for our junior students to grade for the first time. All students will be looking to grade to 6th kyu 1st tag which entitles them to their first yellow tag. GOOD LUCK to all those involved.
Extended Training Session
At the Hagakure Dojo in Houghton Sports complex there will be an extended training session from 12.30-4.30pm on Saturday 29th July. All are welcome, fruit, snacks and water are provided. As well as a varied training agenda including weapons work, and all for £5!
County Show 15th & 16th July
This year the Tenshin dojo is proud to be supporting the Hagakure dojo in a weekend of demonstration and training. We will be training from 10-5pm both days, offering a range of hand to hand and weapons training for 3-70 year olds, beginner to master! Please come along and support us.
